CivilCalc Engineering Tool

Concrete Calculator

Calculate net concrete volume and order quantity for common structural elements.

Formula / Method

Volume = Length × Width × Height × Quantity

Quick Example

Choose the structural element type and CivilCalc adapts the input dimensions automatically.

Cost Calculators

Quantity takeoff, unit price and cost estimate tools will be added here.

Coming Soon
This section is reserved for the next development phase.

Stormwater Runoff Calculator

Calculates peak runoff using the Rational Method.

Sewer Sizing Calculator

Enter the design population directly or project it to a target year; then calculate wastewater flow and a preliminary sewer pipe diameter.

Default per-capita flow, peak factor, minimum diameter, depth ratio and velocity criteria can be changed by the user. Final design must follow the relevant authority requirements and project criteria.

Hydraulics

Uses Manning's equation to calculate full-flow capacity or actual partial-flow conditions for a given inflow.

Pipe Sizing

Selects the first suitable standard pipe diameter based on design flow, slope and pipe material.

Concrete Calculator

Calculates net concrete volume and order quantity including waste for foundations, slabs, columns, beams and walls.

Rebar Weight Calculator

Fill in the first rebar row; use Add Row to enter additional diameters or bar lengths.

Formwork Calculator

Calculates approximate formwork area for foundations, columns, beams, walls and slabs.

Masonry Calculator

Calculates masonry area, volume and approximate unit quantity.

Pipe Slope

Calculates pipe slope from upstream and downstream invert elevations.

How It Works

CivilCalc calculations run in your browser; engineering inputs are not sent to a server in this version.

1. Enter Data

Enter project data such as elevations, distance, area, rainfall intensity, population, wastewater assumptions, diameter, slope and pipe material.

2. Calculate

Calculate results quickly using common engineering methods such as the Rational Method and Manning equation.

3. Review

Review results together with project criteria, authority specifications and applicable technical standards.

About CivilCalc

CivilCalc is a mobile-first engineering calculation platform designed to make common infrastructure and superstructure calculations faster in the field and office.

Infrastructure tools include pipe slope, stormwater runoff, preliminary sewer sizing, hydraulic calculations and pipe diameter selection. Superstructure tools include concrete, multi-row rebar, formwork and masonry calculations.

Results are intended for preliminary sizing and checking. Final design decisions must follow applicable standards, authority specifications and engineering judgement.
